Eidos Partners announces the closing of the secondary buy-out of Emmeci Group by private equity funds Aksìa Group and Quadrivio SGR.

Emmeci Group (www.emmeci.it) is the world’s leading designer, manufacturer and seller of automatic lines for the production of rigid “set-up” boxes for the packaging of various luxury and quality products, as well as of automatic laminators and casemakers, which are primarily used for the production of ring binders, point-of-purchase displays, game boards, office files, puzzles and photo album covers. Founded in 1974 and headquartered in Cerreto Guidi (Florence), Emmeci Group has sales subsidiaries in France, in the USA and in China.

Emmeci Group has been sold to Aksìa Group and Quadrivio SGR by private equity fund Europe Capital Partners IV and by Emmeci’s founders. Following the transaction, each of the two funds will own a 45% stake in Emmeci Group, while Emmeci’s founders and the current management will own together a minority stake of 10%.

 

 

Europe Capital Partners IV, L.P. is a Luxembourg-based fund which invests in majority and minority stakes in Italian mid-sized privately owned companies. Its investment strategy is focused on companies that are leaders in their respective niche markets, with sound industrial projects and development opportunities. The fund is advised in Italy by L.B.O. Italia S.r.l..

Aksìa Group
(www.aksiagroup.com) is an investment company which focuses its attention on advanced manufacturing and mechanical industries, targeting companies specialized in highly engineered products. Aksìa Group has an authorized share capital of €100 million and subscribed share capital of €65 million.

Quadrivio (www.quadriviosgr.it) is an investment management company which manages a private equity fund with an allocation of €100 million. The approach adopted by Quadrivio in managing the participated companies is particularly pro-active, not only through the provision of capital, but also by contributing expertise and relationships to foster the business growth.
The strategy adopted by the fund focuses on investments in majority deals, and in qualified and well structured minority deals.
